According to reports from China Defense Ministry-affiliated Chinamil.com, a person with the surname Zhou has been arrested by the police for spreading rumors online. He wrote on the social media platform WeChat Moments that Chinese troops died in border conflicts due to the poor quality of military vehicles supplied by Dongfeng Off-Road Vehicle Company Limited.

On Thursday, the news said that the Dongfeng company had complained to the police on August 3 about Zhou’s online post. Zhou claimed that Chinese soldiers were injured due to the internal corruption of the company due to the poor quality of its military vehicles. The police arrested Zhou on August 4.
