However, the religious guru Dalai Lama termed the treaty as ‘invalid’, saying that it was signed by forcible pressure on a helpless government, which the government did not want. One more thing is said that he was 15 years old when he signed this agreement.

Located in the north of the Himalayas, Tibet is spread over an area of ​​1.2 million square kilometers. Its history is full of many problems. On May 23, 1951, Tibet signed a disputed agreement with China.

This day is considered a sad day in Tibet. Tibet officially lost its independence on this day. The occupation of China worsened the atmosphere in Tibet.

From 1956 to 10 March 1959, the anger of the people of Tibet was in its ebb. During this time the first rebellion took place and the people of Tibet refused to accept the rule of China, the rebellion was increasing and it also killed thousands of people.

After the intervention of the People’s Liberation Army of China and two weeks of violence, China managed to suppress this rebellion.

The Chinese army was very strong, the Dalai Lama had to leave the country and take refuge in India. Since then, China also keeps a watching eye on India.

Waste of Tibetan culture

There were many changes in the world in so many years, but there was no significant change in the culture of Tibet. Tibet is not a nation in matters of modernity, but Tibet has the most different kind of culture in the world, its language, religion and political system is very unique.

The religious leader Dalai Lama signed international treaties, established diplomatic relations with his neighboring countries, in 1912 the 13th Dalai Lama declared that Tibet was an independent country. This country also has its own national flag, its own currency, its passport, its army.

For years, whenever there was a demonstration in Tibet, it would be crushed with great disdain. The Dalai Lama says that 1.2 million people have died under Chinese rule.

However, China, like its old way, denies all these things. Many agencies do not accept this figure, yet it is being said that this number can be between two lakh and eight lakh.

Violent protests against China

It has also been observed that protests have increased in Tibet in recent years. Locals are raising voices against ruining their culture.

At the same time, the tone of protests has also intensified on the way the Chinese army deals with the people of Tibet.

During the period of 1960 and 70, when the Cultural Revolution of China was going on, during that time many local monastries were destroyed.

The Communist Party of China says that since 1980 it has been enriching Tibet’s culture and many broken monasteries have been rebuilt.
