China’s Hold On Pakistan Appears To Be Strengthening

China’s hold on Pakistan appears to be strengthening. Pakistan has given much to China even before Bundal and Budo islands, Dragon’s stronghold. Gradually, China’s hold on Pakistan appears to be strengthening.

Pakistan’s coffin, trapped in the clutches of the dragon, has a nail and a hit. The nail was bitten after handing over two islands of Pakistan to China.

Let me tell you that this is not the first time that the Government of Pakistan has taken such a decision. The reality is that in Pakistan, whether the party has been a party or there has been the military rule, everyone has bowed before China.

The fact is that Pakistan has no other policy regarding China. There are two big reasons for this. The first reason is the financial crisis and the second reason is the fear of India.

The two islands that the Imran government has decided to cede to China are located in South Karachi. Their names are Bundal and Budo. These two islands are very important from a strategic point of view. These are spread over the long coastline of Sindh province.

Got final approval

China, which took advantage of Pakistan in the name of the financial crisis, first trapped it in its debt trap in the name of building an economic corridor there, and now China is also ready to seize its two islands.

All these things are happening legally. Pakistan President Arif Alvi has signed the bill through Pakistan Island Development Authority. After this, it has got final approval. Now China’s hold on Pakistan appears to be strengthening.

Tone of protest

However, this decision of the government is being strongly opposed to Pakistan. Political groups seem to be united on this issue. The Imran government has come directly on target with this.

Amid widespread public protests, opposition parties and several organizations have announced that they will not allow the sale of the two islands at any cost. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the government of Sindh and the chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party, termed it an illegal occupation.

However, in 2013, it was Zardari who handed over Gwadar Port to China as President and in his statement, he described it as a profitable deal. Jio Sindhi Thinkers Forum came out in protest against the recent decision of the Imran government, that we will not allow our land to be sold.

The people of Ghulam Kashmir and Balochistan are also saying that it is directly occupied by China. Against this decision of the Imran government, the National Party of Balochistan has announced to launch a movement against it across the country.

Trans Carcorum tract

Let me tell you that before Pakistan took illegal possession of Indian territory in 1947, it handed over its Karakoram Tract, Trans Karakoram Tract, or Shaksgam Valley to China.

This entire area is about 5800 km which is spread on both sides of the Shaksgam River in the northern Karakoram mountains of Kashmir.

It is a part of the state of Jammu and Kashmir in India. In 1963, under a border agreement, Pakistan presented the region to China.

Gwadar Port

In February 2013, Pakistan handed over Gwadar port to China. To say that Pakistan has given management here only in the hands of China, but the reality is that there is no other option left by Pakistan, which is drowning in debt at the hands of China.

Politicians sitting in power have been filling their pockets with such a decision. But China’s coming closer in this way is definitely a cause for concern for India. China can monitor Indian ships from here.

In addition, the movement of Chinese ships in the Arabian Sea increased. Let me tell you that Gwadar Port is a port of very strategic importance to Pakistan.

According to the agreement reached in China and Pakistan on this paper, this port will remain the property of Pakistan, but the Chinese company will share the profits of the functioning of this port.

China initially provided 75 percent of the funds for the construction of this harbor. The construction of the port cost $ 250 million. The government of Pakistan on 30 January 2013 transferred the right to manage Gwadar port from Singapore to China.
