Amidst the ongoing hijab controversy in Karnataka, the reaction of the state Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has come to the fore.

CM Bommai has appealed to the people to maintain peace. The CM of the state said on Thursday that I appeal to outsiders not to disturb the peace in the school premises and in the state.

CM said that it is our duty to create a peaceful environment so that justice can be given.

The Karnataka Hijab controversy has now reached the Supreme Court.

Referring to the matter in the Supreme Court, Kapil Sibal has demanded the transfer of the case from the Karnataka High Court to the Supreme Court.

At the same time, the Supreme Court said that it would not be right to interfere in this matter right now, let the High Court decide. We will consider your petition later.

Earlier, on Wednesday, a single bench of the Karnataka High Court referred the hijab matter to the Chief Justice and urged him to refer it to a larger bench.

High Court Justice Krishna S. Dikshit said the case raises certain constitutional questions of fundamental importance in view of certain aspects of private law.

Therefore, the matter should be heard on a larger bench.

There is a lot of politics going on on this issue. While many leaders are in support of the hijab, many leaders are protesting against it.

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi on Wednesday said that ‘bikini, veil, jeans or hijab, it is a woman’s right to decide what to wear.

At the same time, RJD chief Lalu Prasad accused the BJP of pushing the country towards civil war. Lalu said that it seems that after 70 years the British have come again.

Earlier, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that someone’s father’s India is a little bit, which will stop wearing the hijab. Owaisi said that till the daughters do not study, we will not develop.

At the same time, Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray said on Wednesday that there should be no place in schools for any dress other than school uniform.

Wherever the dress is applicable in schools, there should be no place for any other dress, he said. Schools and colleges are centers of education where only education should be given.

Political or religious things should not be brought into schools and colleges.
