CM KCR’s daughter retaliated to BJP’s allegations, she said- I can file a defamation case.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Legislative Council member K. Kavita on Monday attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for dragging her and her family’s name into the ongoing controversy over Delhi’s now-canceled excise policy.

She said that she can file a defamation case against two BJP leaders in this case.

One of these leaders had claimed that Kavita had played the role of a ‘middleman’ between the liquor mafia and the AAP government.

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s daughter Kavita said the allegations of BJP leaders are “baseless”.

According to TRS sources, she will file a defamation case against BJP MP from Delhi Parvesh Verma and another leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa.

“Today, I want to make it very clear that the allegations leveled against me by members of the BJP and their party are completely baseless,” she told reporters here. Because the investigating agencies are under her control and she will cooperate fully.

Kavita claimed that since her father KCR is critical of the policies of the BJP-led government at the Centre, the BJP is trying to tarnish her family’s reputation.

She said there are “combatants” in his family, who will never back down in their fight. Today, if you want to humiliate us by making some baseless allegation, it will be baseless. No result will come from this.”

BJP MP Pravesh Verma has accused Telangana Chief Minister K. Dr. Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) that his family members had attended meetings held at a five-star hotel here regarding the framing of the policy.

Verma said Telangana has a “similar” excise policy and it has been implemented in West Bengal as well.

He alleged, “Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s family members had attended meetings organized at the Oberoi Hotel to formulate Delhi’s excise policy.
