Commando Force Will Be Deployed In Kaziranga National Park

Commando force will be deployed in Kaziranga National Park Assam, now poachers will be controlled.

Special DGP cum Chairman Assam Rhino Protection Task Force and Chief Wildlife Warden (CWLW) said on Sunday that a commando force would be deployed to check to poach in Kaziranga National Park.

He said that the anti-poaching campaign in the National Park would be intensified. Let us tell you that the special DGP had reviewed the anti-poaching campaign on Saturday.

Along with this, the special DGP had also visited the rhino hunting site on Sunday.

The first case of rhinoceros murder this year.

Recently, the carcass of an adult female rhinoceros was found in Kaziranga National Park. Due to the missing horn of the rhinoceros, there was a possibility of murder by poachers.

A senior forest department official had said that an adult female rhinoceros was shot dead by poachers. Let us tell you that Kaziranga National Park is a UNESCO declared World Heritage Site.

Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Assam Bikash Brahma told the media that the forest guards fired two shots at around 9.10 pm on January 14 at the Daphlang camp of Bagore range of Kaziranga National Park.

An investigation has been launched to trace the absconding poachers from the spot. This is the first case of the killing of rhinos by poachers this year.

The park is equipped with satellite phones to stop poaching.

Last year five rhinos were killed by poachers in Kaziranga National Park, while in 2016 18 rhinos were killed by poachers and their horns were stripped.

Along with this, satellite phones have been provided to the officials in Kaziranga National Park to check to poach.

It may be mentioned that Kaziranga National Park is the first national park in India to be equipped with satellite phones.
