Conspiracy to stop the return of Pandits to Kashmir, to create fear among non-Muslims: Kashmiri Pandits.
Rakesh Pandita’s name has also been included in the list of those martyred at the hands of jihadi elements active in Kashmir. He had contested the civic body elections regardless of the threats of the terrorists.
Therefore his killing will be called the handiwork of the enemies of restoration of democracy in Kashmir or restoration of peace.
But this killing is not just to damage democracy, it is a part of a conspiracy to stop Kashmiri Pandits who are stepping back into the valley.
The killing is likely to derail the plan being prepared by the Union government and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for the return of Kashmiri Pandits to the Valley since December, even before the implementation begins.
Let us tell you that the terrorists had killed BJP leader and Municipal Committee chairman Rakesh Pandita in Tral on Wednesday. His last rites were performed in Jammu on Thursday.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said in Jammu on 25 December 2020 that a practical action plan for the return and rehabilitation of displaced Kashmiri Pandits to the Valley is under consideration and will be worked out soon.
Although he did not say when it would be implemented, it was believed that it would be implemented only in the current summer. So the timing of the murder says a lot.
Conspiracy to create fear among Hindus.
Rakesh Pandita was murdered on June 3. Last year too, during the month of June itself, sarpanch Ajay Pandita was ambushed by terrorists in South Kashmir.
Apart from this, 100 days have been completed for the resumption of the ceasefire on the border between Pakistan and India and Army Chief General MM Naravane was also in Kashmir.
Apart from this, it had also been about 108 days since the murder of Akash Mehra, son of a famous Dhaba owner of Kashmir.
During the last year, about a dozen BJP workers, sarpanches, and counselors have been killed by terrorists.
But the killings of Akash and Rakesh Pandita this year in one way or the other point towards only one conspiracy and that is non from Kashmir.
Conspiracy to create fear among Kashmiri pandits and stop their return.
Some new terrorist organizations like TRF, PAFF, Lashkar-e-Mustafa, Ghaznavi Force, which have come up during the last two years, openly issue orders in the names of non-Kashmiris and non-Muslims in Kashmir.
They has said not once but many times that any attempt to settle non-Muslims in Kashmir will not be allowed to succeed.
Rakesh Pandita’s wife has also mentioned the condition of minorities in Kashmir in a seemingly normal situation.
She has said that often in Tral, many people used to say that why have come here, what you will do here .
It is clear that for non-Muslims and Kashmiri Pandits, the situation in Kashmir is only good to see, not much different from the situation in 1990 on the ground.
Some elements are frustrated by the process of return of Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley.
In Kashmir, the chaotic elements call non-Kashmiris, Kashmiri Pandits, Kashmiri Muslims involved in mainstream politics and Muslims who raise slogans of India as Indian agents, calling them enemies of Islam.
The murder of Rakesh Pandita is a reflection of that mentality.
Terrorists have killed him not only for being a political activist but also for being a representative of the class which the jihadi elements had felt during the 1990s to achieve the goal of Nizam-e-Mustafa and independence in Kashmir.
The central government should understand the conspiracy behind the murder.
Dr. Ajay Charungu said that the purpose of killing Rakesh Kumar was only and only to scare the minorities in Kashmir, prevent non-Kashmiris from settling in Kashmir and return of Kashmiri Pandits to Kashmir.
The process has to be derailed before it even starts. The central government should understand this. He should not consider it as a mere issue of terrorism or law and order, but understand the fanatic jihadi mentality behind it.
