In Karnataka, the controversy over Veer Savarkar’s poster was not yet over the photo of Savarkar again on the poster of the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi festival sparked controversy.

Let us tell you that on the occasion of Independence Day, the youth of some Hinduist organizations had put up a poster of Veer Savarkar in Amir Ahmed’s circle of Shivamogga.

Objecting to the poster, youths from other communities clashed in an attempt to install Tipu Sultan’s flex.

Clashes erupted after pro-Hindu groups started protesting attempts to remove Savarkar’s poster. The police had to resort to mild lathi charges to control the situation and disperse the crowd.

In the latest development, BJP workers were seen putting up posters at Congress offices in the state on Monday.

At the same time, Hindu Mahasabha Gauri Ganesh Seva Samiti in Davangere has now included the picture of Savarkar on the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.

The flex also includes a picture of Bal Gangadhar Tilak with Veer Savarkar. Around 10 such flexes have been installed in Honali town of Davangere, while 40 more such flexes are planned.

On the controversy, Rakesh Ramamurthy, president of Hindu Mahasabha Gauri Ganesh Seva Samiti organization, said that some people are opposing the installation of flex, but they will not pay any attention to such people.
