Conversion Racket in UP: Another success for UP ATS in conversion case, Maulana Kalim Siddiqui arrested.

The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) is in the process of illegal conversion of more than a thousand people in Uttar Pradesh.

Another accused, Maulana Kalim Siddiqui of Meerut, has been arrested by the UP ATS in the illegal conversion case. He is the chairman of Jamiat-e-Waliullah Trust.

The active role of Kalim, who was in touch with Umar Gautam, the main accused arrested in the conversion case, has also come to the fore. Evidence of funding of Rs 3 crore from abroad has been found against Kaleem.

His relationship with Umar Gautam and other accused are under investigation.

In many states of the country including Uttar Pradesh, the accused in the conversion case of more than a thousand people are being tightened.

Additional Director General of Police Law and Order Prashant Kumar said that during the investigation it has been found that the trust of Maulana Kalim Siddiqui has received three crore rupees in foreign funding including 1.5 rupees from Bahrain.

He runs the Jamiat-e-Waliullah Trust, through which several madrassas are funded. Six teams of ATS have been formed to investigate the matter.

Let us inform that on June 20, ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar had exposed the conversion racket spreading from Uttar Pradesh to other states in a press conference.

The police had claimed that the accused were also being funded by the ISI. From deaf children to women and weaker sections people were being converted on a large scale under the conspiracy.

Mohammad Umar Gautam and Mufti Qazi Jehangir Alam Qasmi of Jamianagar, Delhi, who were arrested at that time, had spilled many important secrets related to funding from abroad.

Information about several accounts was also revealed. Many facts were also found, especially about the ISI connection of Umar Gautam.

The arrested Umar Dautam and Jahangir had admitted during interrogation that they got more than a thousand people converted by luring them with money.

Funding for this work was from ISI. These people used to target dumb and deaf children and women. After the conversion, the marriage of women was also done.

A whole gang is active for this work. This racket was revealed to be active in many other states.

Both these people had campaigned in many districts of the state including Mathura and Varanasi and got them converted.
