Coronavirus New Guidelines: MHA issues new guidelines for protection against Coronavirus in the country, which are implemented from today.

In view of the increased outbreak of covid-19, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has issued guidelines for several states of the country from Tuesday, December 1, to prevent the infection from spreading.

Restrictions imposed under this will continue till the end of the month i.e. 31 December. The MHA has directed the states to implement SOPs under various activities.

“The focus of these guidelines is to prevent the spread of Covid-19 infection,” the ministry said in a statement.

The earlier ban on cinema houses, theaters, swimming pools, etc. will continue. Cinema halls will still be run with a capacity of 50 percent.

The government has kept the number of guests coming to the wedding at 200. At the same time, the state governments can reduce this number to 100 or less, given the cases of corona here.

The Delhi government has fixed a figure of 50 for this, while in Uttar Pradesh this figure is 100.

International air travel will continue with certain restrictions.

Swimming pools will be open only for players training

States / Union Territories have been ordered to take measures to prevent infection, SOP on various activities, and mandatory measures to control congestion.

The complete relaxation of the night curfew to the state governments, it is entirely up to the state governments whether to impose the night curfew or not.

The time will also be decided by the state governments.

There will be strictness in the Containment Zone. People over 65 years of age and children below 10 years have been advised to stay indoors.

Only necessary activities will be allowed in the Containment Zone. Local district, police, and municipal officials will be responsible for ensuring that the prescribed containment measures are strictly followed.

The State / UT Governments will ensure the accountability of the officials concerned.

Governments of states, union territories will have to seek permission from the Center before local lockdown can be implemented anywhere other than the Containment Zone.

The surveillance team will monitor from door to door and immediate isolation of corona patients with treatment facilities will be ensured. At the same time, the use of the Arogya Setu mobile app will continue to be encouraged.

Restrictions on increased infection of colds and festivals

The Ministry of Home Affairs had already clarified the objective of the new guidelines to fight against coronavirus. According to the ministry, the aim is to keep infections at the lowest level.

The rise in infection of corona due to cold and festivals can also be prevented only on the strength of surveillance, containment, and caution and this requires strict adherence to the SOP issued by the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry of Home Affairs made it clear that in case of any violation in the SOP of the Ministry of Health, the local district, police, and municipal authorities will be held responsible.

That is why after the assessment of the situation of the local administration, it is allowed to impose new restrictions in its area.

The Government of Odisha has issued a guideline for the entire month of December from today. At the same time, medical colleges have been allowed to remain open by the state government.

Also, international flights will continue but some flights have been ordered to be closed by MHA. Apart from this, religious, political, cultural events have been banned in the state till 31 December.
