Court refused to grant bail to the accused on the statements of witnesses: Delhi riots.
The Karkardooma Court on Tuesday refused to grant bail to the accused, Salim Malik alias Munna, in connection with the murder of head constable Ratan Lal in the Delhi riots.
The court of Additional Sessions Judge Vinod Yadav said that three witnesses have confirmed the presence of the accused at the spot.
His statements cannot be ignored. The location of the CDR also states that the accused was around the spot on the day of the head constable’s murder.
After seeing these shreds of evidence, he cannot be granted bail.
On February 24 last year, head constable Ratan Lal was killed by armed rioters on Wazirabad Road near Chand Bagh in the Dayalpur area.
In this case, the accused Salim Malik had filed a bail application on the basis of the relief given to the co-accused Mansoor and Danish.
Hearing on him, the court said that the accused Mansoor was granted bail due to mental illness. The accused Danish was granted bail under different circumstances.
While three witnesses have given statements against the accused Salim Malik. Witnesses have told that the accused was present on the spot at the time of the incident.
The court also refused to accept the claim of the accused, quoting a video, that the head constable died after being shot from the roof of a nursing home.
DDA Land Scam: CBI raids many places in Delhi and UP in DDA land scam.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has raided 14 locations in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow and Shamli.
These raids were conducted in connection with a case registered against three former Delhi Development Authority (DDA) officials.
The three former officers have been booked for illegal allotment of DDA plots.
The CBI spokesperson said that the probe agency has arrested former DDA assistant director Sudhanshu Ranjan.
Former DDA senior secretariat assistant Ajit Kumar Bhardwaj, former DDA security guard Darwan Singh and independent persons Iqbal Hussain.
Sunil Kumar Meena, Sapan Kumar, Jamaluddin, Rajwant. A case has been registered against Singh and Shakuntala Devi.
A CBI official said that the case was registered on the complaint received about the allotment of several plots of DDA in Madanpur Khadar area near Sarita Vihar on the basis of forged and forged documents and manipulation of government records.
That the investigating agency conducted searches at 14 places in the Delhi, Lucknow, and Shamli districts of Uttar Pradesh.
In the raid, many documents including DDA notice, register, GPA ration card, voter ID card, affidavit, sale agreement, etc. were recovered.
