Deadly attack on a senior journalist in Pakistan, shot and injured. Abasar Alam (50), an anti-military journalist who has been in power in Pakistan, has been shot and injured.

The attacker could not be identified. The police are investigating the matter. Journalist Alam was attacked in a park in the capital Islamabad, where he went for a walk.

He was the chairman of the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority for nearly two years under Nawaz Sharif’s regime.

According to police, Alam has been shot in the ribs and is now out of danger. In the statement given after the shooting, Alam said, “He has never lost his courage nor will he lose courage in the future.”

He will continue to raise his voice in this way. It is noteworthy that since Imran Khan took power in 2018, attacks on journalists in Pakistan have increased and their work has become difficult.

Imran government surrenders before radical Islamic party, Pak government will bring a proposal to remove French ambassador.

The Pakistan government appears to have surrendered in front of the radical Islamic party Tehreek-e-Labak Pakistan (TLF).

The Pak government announced on Tuesday that it would table a motion in parliament to expel the French ambassador.

In addition, all cases registered against TLF will be withdrawn. Let it be said that this organization is banned in Pakistan.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid issued a statement saying, “After several rounds of talks with the TLF, we have agreed that a resolution will be introduced in the National Assembly to expel the French ambassador.”

All cases against TLF workers will also be returned.

All cases registered under sections of terrorism against TLF activists will also be withdrawn. Apart from this, the name of party leaders will also be removed from the fourth schedule.

The French ambassador’s expulsion is one of the four major demands of the radical Islamic party. It was banned last week after violent demonstrations by its activists across the country.

On Monday, the session of the National Assembly was postponed until 22 April. But shortly after the minister’s statement, it was announced that the schedule of the meeting of Parliament had been changed.

Its session has been called again from 3 pm on 20 April. Rashid said that TLF has agreed to end its sit-in from Lahore and other places in the country.
