Defense Minister Rajnath Singh met ex-servicemen in Leh, said- Narendra Modi fulfilled the demand of One Rank, One Pension as soon as he became the Prime Minister

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh arrived on a three-day visit to the Union Territory on Sunday amid a standoff with China over the next phase of withdrawal of troops from several places in Ladakh.

During this, he met ex-servicemen in Leh and he said that there is no need to tell how much respect Prime Minister Narendra Modi has for our army soldiers, ex-servicemen.

The problem of One Rank, One Pension was going on for 30-40 years. Narendra Modi fulfilled the demand of One Rank, One Pension as soon as he became the Prime Minister.

Rajnath also said that the problem of rehabilitation after service also persists.

Along with this, employment fairs are also organized from time to time by the Directorate General of Rehabilitation, in which a large number of ex-servicemen are given employment.

We are trying to expedite this work. Our aim is that all of you should be taken care of in the same way as all of you have taken care of the security of the country.

During my visit, I will interact with soldiers and participate in the inauguration ceremony of several infrastructure projects being built by the Border Roads Organization (BRO).

Let us inform you that Rajnath Singh will take stock of the preparations for military operations on his visit to Ladakh.

Two days ago, a fresh round of talks took place between the diplomats of India and China to resolve the ongoing tension since May last year.

He will also inaugurate the infrastructure projects constructed by the Border Roads Organization (BRO).

Sources reveal that the Defense Minister will assess the ground situation by taking stock of military bases and formations located at high altitudes in eastern Ladakh.

He will also boost the morale of the soldiers deployed along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

This will be Rajnath Singh’s first visit to eastern Ladakh after India and China withdrew troops, tanks, and other equipment from near Pangong Lake after the agreement in February.
