The Dehradun CBI has filed a case against eight people for the fraud of Rs 19.59 million at Union Bank in Kaushambi, Ghaziabad.

It is alleged that the operators of Delhi-based Govinda International firm have shelled this amount in collusion with bank officials and employees.

In this case, the then officers associated with bank branch and loan have also been named. CBI is also anticipating a big gang in this loan scam.

Govinda International firm Gandhi Gali Fatehpur operated the wholesale trade of all types of dry fruits and groceries in Delhi.

The owner of the firm, Keshav Joshi, along with Pawan Kumar Sharma, took a loan from Union Bank Kaushambi (Ghaziabad) in 2017 by making a CC limit of about 15 crores by mortgaging his property.

It is alleged that the firm made full use of CC Limit’s loan, but did not return any amount to the bank.

Meanwhile, bank officials tried to save tax by collusion with the firm for about a year. But after the case went to the head office in Mumbai, the investigation was conducted as per RBI guidelines.

The investigation revealed this loan fraud. On this, Saroj Das, the regional manager of Union Bank, wrote a written letter to CBI Lucknow last month.

The CBI transferred the investigation of the case to the Dehradun branch.

On finding the case to be correct in the investigation here, Doon CBI has filed a lawsuit against the firm, operators, guarantors, fake valuation companies including bank employees.

Officials for fraudulent fraud, forgery, the criminal conspiracy of bank money. The investigation of the case has been handed over to Inspector Sunit Kumar Sharma.
