In this situation, more than 30,000 devotees gathered at the Siniwasam premises hoping to get a free darshan token today.

Staff on duty there said that free darshan would no longer be offered here as the counter was closed. The enraged devotees chanted slogans demanding a free darshan token.

Devotees struggle to visit Tirupati: At one point, the protesters sat on the road opposite the Siniwasam building and blocked the road.

Upon receiving the information, the police forcibly removed the devotees and arrested only two persons, and took them to the police station.

Earlier, Tirupati Devasthanam had announced that from tomorrow (September 25) devotees will be able to get free darshan tokens online.

Free Darshan Tokens will be provided online for free viewing of the Seven Mountains from September 26th to October 31st.

This will close the free Darshan counter operating at the Srinivasam building complex in Tirupati.

From now on, pilgrims coming to Tirupati to visit Ezhumalayana will have to bring two proofs of corona vaccination or one of the corona negative certificates taken three days ago.

Also, it has been announced that special darshan tickets of Rs 300 for the month of October will be released online on the 24th of this month at 9 am.
