DGP takes stock of security arrangements before elections. Jammu Kashmir DDC Elections.

The by-election for the panchayats and the urban body is to be held in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday with the District Development Council election.

Security arrangements for these elections were reviewed by Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbag Singh in a high-level meeting.

48 seats are to be voted for the first phase in the District Development Council. Of these, 25 seats are in Kashmir and 18 in the Jammu region.

In the meeting held on Friday in Kashmir Police Control Room, during the elections, the emphasis was laid on ensuring comprehensive security.

The DGP said that our main goal is to ensure security so that these elections can be held in a peaceful atmosphere. The maximum number of voters should be able to exercise their franchise.

There was also a detailed discussion in the meeting that voters should not have any inconvenience in reaching polling stations.

During this, arrangements were made for peaceful elections in Kashmir and Jammu. Sources associated with security agencies said that the security forces have made full preparations to conduct fair and peaceful elections.

Apart from polling booths, the emphasis has been laid on ensuring the safety of the candidates and the blueprint of the entire scheme has been prepared.

Jammu and Kashmir DDC Polls are to be voted in eight phases. The first phase is scheduled for Saturday.

In the meeting, ADGP CID RR Swain, IG Rajesh of BSF Headquarters, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar Mishra, IG CRPF Operation Deepak Ratan.

IG CRPF Charu Sinha, Brigadier PK Mishra in 15 Corps of Srinagar Army besides Senior Saina, Senior Police and CRPF Officers were present.

There is tremendous enthusiasm among the people of the District Development Council elections for the first time in the entire Jammu and Kashmir.

In Udhampur, in the first phase, in two Zilla Vikas Parishad constituencies, people participated in the process of the first-ever District Development Council elections.

Polling in the first hour of the morning was slow, but with the sunshine, the voting percentage also increased.

Till 1 pm, 40.95 percent voting was done in Dudu Basantgarh and 50.57 percent in Lahti Marothi. In an hour, the total polling in two constituencies of the district has been 45.35 percent.
