DIG Inspects Security Arrangements For Baba Amarnath Yatra

DIG inspects security arrangements, Preparations for Baba Amarnath Yatra in full swing. DIG of Central Kashmir Amit Kumar visited the Baltal base camp to take stock of the security preparations for the Baba Amarnath Yatra.

He reviewed the security scenario in detail at Dommel and elsewhere on the Baltal route. He discussed how to smooth traffic, manage parking during the journey.

The annual yatra of Baba Amarnath starts on June 28, which will last 56 days, and concludes on 22 August, the day of Raksha Bandhan.

Ganderbal’s SSP Suhail Munawar gave information about the security arrangements being made for the yatra. The DIG asked the officers to be vigilant and regularly check the vehicles to ensure proper security arrangements.

DIG inspects security arrangements: Let it be said that at this time Baba Amarnath Yatra is in full swing, Advance registration for the journey started from April 1.

Registration is being done at 446 branches of Punjab National Bank, Jammu Kashmir Bank, and Yes Bank across the country. Devotees are registering with enthusiasm.

So far, more than fifteen thousand devotees have been registered. This time more than six lakh devotees are expected to visit Baba Amarnath Yatra. The government has released eleven crore rupees for the preparations.

At the same time, the army commander of the Chinar Corps instructed the army to continue the campaign to attack terror in Kashmir on the basis of strong intelligence.

In such a situation, the Army has been thwarting the enemies of the country in a similar manner while maintaining the highest level of security in Kashmir. The army commander also praised the role played by army personnel in Kashmir.

Shahpur Kandi Project: After 40 years, Jammu and Kashmir will get rightful water, Punjab will build a canal till Basantpur.

Due to the efforts of the Central Government, the agreement with Punjab and Jammu Kashmir regarding Ranjit Sagar Dam has started to be implemented.

After 40 years, the Punjab government will construct a one-and-a-half-kilometer-long canal from Shahpur Kandi Barrage to Basantpur in Kathua.

With this, 80 thousand farmers of the Jammu and Samba district will get benefit from Ravi Tavi Canal for irrigation. Along with this, 20 percent power will also be provided to Jammu and Kashmir from Shahpur Barrage.

On Saturday, Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr. Jitendra Singh laid the foundation stone for the construction work of the canal.
