Director General of NSG visits Air Force Station Jammu to check the situation: Jammu Kashmir.

DG of National Security Guard (NSG) MA Ganapathy and Acting DG Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) SK Saxena visited Jammu Air Force Station on Wednesday.

The Director-General of NSG takes stock of the situation arising out of the drone strike. He also reviewed the security arrangements at Jammu Airport in a meeting with the concerned officials.

He is additionally holding the charge of the Director-General of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is probing the drone attack on the Jammu Air Force Station.

He also inquired about the progress made so far in the investigation of the attack from senior IAF officials and the investigation team.

After this, he also reviewed the security arrangements at Jammu Airport and issued guidelines to completely eliminate any possibility of drone attacks in the future.

During this, the Counter-Terror Drone Wing of NSG also apprised the DG NSG and Acting Director-General CISF about the Anti Drone System (called UAS) being installed at the Air Force Station.

UAS is also known as an Unknown Airborne System.

The NSG has procured this system from abroad to detect and negate low-altitude unmanned aircraft (UAVs), drones, and other suspicious flying objects while avoiding radar.
