Discussion & Strategy Prepared On The Situation In East Ladakh

Discussion & strategy prepared on the situation in East Ladakh before the Corps Commander level meeting with China.

Prior to the seventh round of Corps Commander-level talks between India and China, top military officials and political people reviewed the current situation in East Ladakh, discussion & strategy were prepared for the Corps Commander meeting here on Friday.

The corps commanders are scheduled to meet on 12 October. This time the talks between the corps commanders will be on the agenda of setting a roadmap to remove troops from all the conflict points in eastern Ladakh.

Sources said that the main issues to be raised by India were discussed in the China Study Group (CSG) meeting on Monday, along with reviewing the current situation in East Ladakh.

The CSG comprises External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat, and heads of the three wings of the Army.

Sources said that Army Chief General MN Narwane informed the current situation in East Ladakh in the meeting. According to sources, the meeting was called to finalize the tactical strategy of the Corps Commander level.

The Indian contingent will be led by Lieutenant General Harinder Singh, commander of the 14th Corps at Leh. A foreign ministry official will also be present at the meeting.

It is worth mentioning that the deadlock persists due to the stubborn Chinese stand in East Ladakh. The armies of both countries are standing on the border. India is also strengthening its strategic position to meet China’s challenge.

India on Friday successfully test-fired its first indigenous anti-radiation missile ‘Rudram-1’. The missile, capable of capturing and destroying the enemy’s signal and radiation system, is twice as fast as the sound.

The missile has been developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). Currently, this technology is only with the US, Russia, and Germany.

It was tested with the fighter aircraft Sukhoi-30 in Balasore, Odisha, which managed to destroy its target with unmistakable targets. According to experts, this missile can prove to be very useful given the increasing tension with China.
