Meanwhile, Indian Army soldiers guarding the Line of Control (LOC) in the Gurez sector of Bandipora district of North Kashmir celebrated Diwali away from their home. Earlier on Wednesday, Indian Army soldiers joined the residents of Uri in the Baramulla sector of LOC in celebrating Diwali.
According to a resident, the Indian Army celebrated Diwali in his village, which is close to the Line of Control (LOC). He said that the army celebrates all festivals including Eid with them.
