Dixon Company invests in the state: DCM responds to the installation of a laptop and tab manufacturing plant.

Dixon is well known for manufacturing home appliances including laptops, tabs, deck scapes, CFL bulbs, LED TVs, CCTVs, and washing machines, with a market value of over 30 thousand crores.

Dixon, a Noida-based company leading the manufacturing of laptops, tabs, and electronic products, is set to open a manufacturing plant in the state.

Sunil Vachani, Executive Chairman of Dixon Company, presented a proposal in front of IT-BT and Deputy Chief Minister of Electronics and Accounting, Dr. CN Ashwatthanarayana.

They demanded the necessary space and other factors. DCM has responded positively to the company’s offer and promised to give the land.

The project will be implemented under the jurisdiction of the Department of Electronics and Development Management (ESDM).

Deputy Chief Ministers have informed that Dixon Company will be given the land to set up a manufacturing plant at one of the areas in Mastenahalli, Mindenahalli in Kolar District, and Harohalli in Ramanagar District, Harur in Bangalore Rural District.

The company demanded 10 to 15 acres of land. According to the ESDM policy, if the company has set up its plant in any of the aforementioned places outside Bangalore.

All the subsidies and benefits that the government will give the company and he said the company was also convinced of employment for locals.

DCM said the government would sign an agreement with the Cognizant-Rotary Club to provide 12,500 computers to government first-class colleges under the DCTE extension program.

The company’s Managing Director Atul Lal, IT-BT Department Additional Chief Secretary Ramana Reddy, DCM Secretary P Pradeep, IT Department Director Meena Nagaraja, and Industrial Development Commissioner Gunjan Krishna were senior government officials.
