Doubts Remain On Amarnath Yatra: Amarnath Yatra 2021

Doubts remain on Amarnath Yatra, preparations started, price rates of services like horse-pithu-tent, etc. fixed: Amarnath Yatra 2021.

Amidst the continuing doubts regarding Shri Amarnath Yatra, the administration has fixed the price rates of services like a horse, palanquin, pithu, and tent, etc. from Baltal to the holy cave.

To spend the night in the holy cave and Panjtarni, each devotee will have to pay Rs 780 to Rs 1,050 as rent to the tents.

It is noteworthy that this year, the state government had announced to start of Shri Amarnath Yatra from June 28, but with the onset of the second wave of corona infection, the registration for the yatra was stopped.

Since then, the state government has kept silent on the issue of starting or canceling the yatra as per the schedule.

Last year also, Shri Amarnath Yatra was canceled for the common devotees in view of the situation arising out of corona infection.

Only Chadi Mubarak, led by Mahant Dipendra Giri, was allowed to visit the holy cave of Shri Amarnath to perform the annual rituals.

However, according to the officials associated with the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, this year it is being considered to allow a limited number of pilgrims to travel via Baltal and allow the Yatra by helicopter.

Recently, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha had also said that the situation is being assessed and a final decision on Amarnath Yatra will be taken soon.

In the midst of confusion over the Amarnath Yatra, the wages of horse, palanquin, pithu laborers were fixed.

After the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board allowed the langar committees to anchor from Baltal to the holy cave, the concerned administration also fixed the prices of various services on the Yatra have done.

The officials concerned said that the pilgrims from Baltal to the Holy Cave and from the Holy Cave to Baltal would have to pay Rs 3,230 and Rs 5,130 respectively for Shramik or Pitthu service.

This also includes the cost of the pithu and the horseman’s overnight stay. For dadi and palanquin, devotees will have to pay a fare of Rs 15750.

However, from Baltal to the holy cave only, the fare for labor-pitthu, horse wala, and dadi palanquin service will be Rs.1470, 2800, and Rs.9400 respectively.

Similarly, from the holy cave to Baltal, the fare of labor-pitthu, horse, and dadi palanquin service will be Rs.1,000, 1940, and Rs.4900 respectively.

For taking the services of Baltal to Barrimarg and Baltal to Railpathri Shramik-Pitthu, you will have to pay Rs 1360 and 1200 respectively.

Similarly, if you take horse service from Baltal to Barrimarg and Baltal to Railpathri, you will have to pay Rs 1700 and Rs 1600 respectively.

The fare will have to be paid on passing the night in the tent, apart from this, if the devotee takes the service of a tenter to spend the night on the Yatra route, then he will have to pay his fee.

If the tenter provides the facility of sleeping with blankets, mats, bed and sleeping bags and pillows on the ground, then the fare per devotee will be Rs 360 in Manigam, Rs 550 in Baltal, and Rs 780 in Holy Cave and Panjtarni.

If the tent is equipped with a bed, blanket, pillow, or cot with a sleeping bag, blanket and pillow, then the fare rate will be Rs.500, Rs.725, and Rs.1050.
