The High Court refused to grant any interim relief to the former Chief Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah in the case of attachment of assets by the Enforcement Directorate.

The Enforcement Directorate has attached the property of Dr. Abdullah in the case of alleged scams in the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association.

The High Court, in its order, said that Dr. Abdullah has only been issued a show-cause notice and this property has also been attached only temporarily.

A division bench of Chief Justice of the High Court Pankaj Mithal and Judge VC Kaul said after hearing both sides that they do not feel any need to grant interim relief to Dr. Abdullah in the matter at present.

The court has directed the prosecution, in this case, to present its case within three weeks on the plea of ​​Dr. Abdullah.

In this case, the petitioner is also allowed to file an affidavit again within a week.

Let us tell you that the Enforcement Directorate has also questioned former Chief Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah several times in the alleged scam of Rs 43 crore in the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association.

Dr. Abdullah, 84, has been the chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association several times. He is accused of misusing the funds that came to the Cricket Association during his tenure.

These days Dr. Farooq Abdullah is infected with Corona and today he has been admitted to a hospital in Srinagar for treatment.

In this case, CBI also filed a charge sheet in the court last year. However, all the leaders of the National Conference have been calling this action politically motivated.

Even the former Chief Minister and the Deputy President of the National Conference have questioned the action of the Enforcement Directorate.
