DRDO’s anti-corona drug 2-DG will be launched next week, effective on every strain: Corona Medicine.

The first batch of 10,000 doses of 2-Doxy-D Glucose (2-DG), a drug from the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) for the treatment of Corona patients, will be launched early next week.

This information has been given by DRDO officials to the media. Officials said that work is being done to speed up production for future use of the drug. This drug is made by a team of DRDO scientists.

It is believed that the drug may prove to be a game changer in the treatment of 2-DG corona. For severe corona patients, this drug is no less than a lifesaver.

Regarding the side effects of 2DG, doctors tell us that the metabolism of normal cells (the process of converting food into energy) is completely different from that of infected cells.

The amount of the drug is reduced to normal cells and does not harm them.

Railways said on Friday that since April 19, it has transported 7,900 tonnes of medical oxygen through 500 tankers in 12 states so far.

According to the Railways, Oxygen Express trains have been transporting around 800 metric tonnes of oxygen daily across the country for the last few days.
