Drug smuggler arrested for threatening police with a toy gun, the investigation begins in Karnataka.

In Kerala, a person who turned from a drug peddler into a fish trader has been arrested by the police. Earlier, when the police had gone to arrest him, he threatened the police with a toy gun and fled.

South East Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr. CK Baba said that the Karnataka Police has taken the drug smuggler into custody.

Police have identified the accused as Jafar. Along with this, the police also confiscated a toy gun from his possession.

According to the police, the incident took place when a team of police from Kerala came to HSR Layout in Bengaluru to arrest Jaffer. He then threatened the police with a tie gun and managed to escape.

Later, the Kerala Police managed to arrest him and when he was questioned, he revealed that the gun he used was a toy.

The Karnataka Police obtained a warrant against him and he was brought to Karnataka for investigation. Jaffer lives in Kerala.

He has a wife and two children. He was a fish merchant but later took up drug peddling to earn more money.

Drug networks will be investigated.

According to the information, when the police tried to arrest him, he managed to escape to Bengaluru and hid in HSR Layout.

The Kerala Police has registered an FIR in connection with threatening the accused with pistols and running away. Police said that they will probe his network in Bengaluru.
