In Mumbai, the Enforcement Directorate is conducting raids at several places linked to people associated with the underworld and money laundering.

According to the information received from the sources, this search is being done in the recently registered money laundering case.

“The ED is conducting searches at several places linked to underworld persons in a money laundering case in Mumbai. Some underworld fugitives and politicians are also under investigation in this case.”

According to information received from the leading news agency, ED officials have also visited the residence of Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar in Mumbai.

The ED’s case is based on a fresh case filed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) against D-Company earlier this month under the stringent Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).

Dawood and several of his associates have been named by the NIA for their role in terror activities against India, including hawala transactions.
