Police said that in the afternoon, two to three terrorists were reported to be sighted in the Hef Shirmal area of ​​district Shopian.

As soon as the information was received, SOG personnel along with a joint team of Army and CRPF reached the area and started searching for the terrorists.

As soon as the security forces reached the hideout of the terrorists, they started firing indiscriminately at the soldiers. Taking their front, the security forces also started retaliatory firing.

Meanwhile, terrorists are also being asked to surrender, but continuous firing is going on from the terrorists.

According to local sources, these three terrorists are said to be local. It is also being said that they are related to Lashkar-e-Taiba, but officially no information has been given about this yet.

Police said that these terrorists are hiding in a house. Being a residential colony, the security forces are facing difficulty in continuing the operation.

People residing in the houses around the house where the terrorists are hiding are being evacuated safely.

The officer said that we are giving the opportunity to the terrorists, again and again, to surrender by putting down their arms but they are not agreeing.
