Engineering Department to take care of transit camps of displaced Kashmiri Pandits: Kashmiri Pandits.

Various divisions of the engineering department of Jammu and Kashmir will take care of the ten transit migrant camps in the state and solve the problems of the displaced Kashmiri Pandits.

Of the ten transit camps, six are in the Kashmir division and four are in the Jammu division.

In an important decision, the Jammu and Kashmir government made the various divisions of the engineering departments accountable for the development of the camps.

The government has also directed the Public Works Department to impose one executive engineer duty each to handle the responsibility of construction work in the camps.

There was this old complaint of Kashmiri Pandits living in camps that seriousness is not shown to solve their problems.

In such a situation, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued an order to the Public Works Department, Water Power Department, and Power Department to take responsibility for the maintenance of ten transit camps for providing basic facilities.

The government gave responsibility for the camp at Vesu to the Qazigund Division of the Public Works Department, out of the six transit camps built for the Pandits in Kashmir.

On the other hand, Anantnag Division has been given the responsibility of Mattan, Pulwama Division as Haval, Badgam Division, Sheikhupora Baramulla Division, Virwan, Kupwara Division, Natanusa Camp.

Similarly, Jammu Division of Public Works Department in Jammu division has been given the responsibility of Fist 2-Butanagar, Purkhoo, Nagrota and Mini township Jagati.

The Qazigund Division of the Water Power Department has been given the responsibility of Vesu, Anantnag Division to Mattan, Pulwama Division to Haval, Budgam Division to Sheikhupora, Baramulla Division to Virwan and Kupwara Division to Natanusa Transit Camp.

Similarly, the Division of Water Power Department in Jammu division has been given the responsibility of Fist 2-Butanagar, Purkhoo, Nagrota and Mini township Jagati.

Similarly, Kashmir Power Development Corporation Division of Power Development Corporation, Anantnag has been given the responsibility of Vesu, Anantnag Division, Mattan, Pulwama Division.

Haval, Budgam Division, Sheikhpora, Baramulla Division, Virwan and Kupwara Division, Natanusa Transit Camp.

In the Jammu division, the responsibility of Fist 2-Butanagar, Purkhoo, Nagrota and Mini township Jagati has been given to Division 1 of Jammu Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation.

Various divisions of engineering departments, the government’s order to give responsibility for ten transit camps in the state was issued by Commissioner Secretary Manoj Kumar Diveedi.
