External Affairs Minister Said, Situation In Ladakh Is Most Critical

External Affairs Minister said the situation in Ladakh has reached the most critical situation after the 1962 conflict. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has said that the boundary dispute with China should be resolved only with respect to all agreements.

The External Affairs Minister has described the current situation in Ladakh as the most serious situation after the 1962 conflict. He says that the number of security forces deployed on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) from both countries is very high.

He also said that till now all border situations have been resolved through diplomacy. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said these things in an interview before the launch of his book ‘The India Way: Strategies for an Underserved World’.

He said that as you know, we are negotiating with China through both diplomatic and military channels. However, when it comes to finding a solution, then it should be done on the basis of respect for all agreements and agreements. During this, he warned China that there should be no unilateral change of status quo on the border.

The Foreign Minister said that the ability to work together with India and China will determine the future of Asia. However, he also pointed to the Chinese antics and said that the problems raised by them can affect this. That is why peace on the border is a very important relationship for both countries. This requires honest dialogue. India has clearly told the Chinese side that peace on the border is the basis of relations. If we look at the last three decades, it becomes clear by itself.

The Foreign Minister said that border disputes arose over Depsang, Chumar, Doklam, etc. in the last decade. Each of them was different from each other and so is it. But there is one thing in common that they were resolved through diplomatic efforts.

Jaishankar said, ‘I am not saying any less about the seriousness or complex nature of the current situation. Naturally, we have to do whatever we can to protect our borders. He also expressed views on diverse issues including Indo-Russian relations, the relevance of Jawaharlal Nehru’s non-aligned policy, the burden of the past, and the impact of historical global events after 1977 on Indian diplomacy.

In another interaction with the leading news agency of Gulf , Jaishankar said that relations between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are developing rapidly. It is among the countries closest to the heart of India. The Foreign Minister also welcomed the normalization of diplomatic relations between the UAE and Israel. He said that this has opened up many opportunities for the country as India has very good relations with both countries.
