Farooq Abdullah Said- We Will Bring Back Article 370

Farooq Abdullah said- we will bring back Article 370, will give statehood: Jammu and Kashmir.

National Conference President and former Chief Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday indicated that he would participate in the assembly elections.

He also said that we will not stay away from the election process, but first, the Center should restore full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.

Talking to reporters after paying homage to his father Late Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah on his 39th death anniversary at Dal Lake near Hazratbal Dargah here today.

Dr. Farooq Abdullah said, “I don’t know when the assembly elections will be held in Jammu and Kashmir. 

Whenever these elections are held, we will not boycott them, instead of staying away from them, we will participate in these elections.

Will win the election. The central government should announce full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir before holding elections.

On the question related to Article 370, he said that we are always determined and striving for the National Conference to bring back the statehood to J&K, for the restoration of Article 370.

There is no change in our stand and policies regarding this. We are fighting even today to fulfill this agenda of ours. Will continue our efforts in the future also.

Dr. Abdullah said that the National Conference will fight with the people for the rights of Jammu and Kashmir.

If the central government itself does not give back the rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, then the movement will start for this. Whatever the central government has done to us will be called cheating.

When the Taliban government came to power in Afghanistan, he said that the Taliban will have to protect human rights.

If the Taliban is forming the government in the name of Islam, then he should stick to the basic principles of Islam. Fundamental rights of all should be protected.

Minorities have to be taken care of. We have to maintain good relations with all our neighbors, with other countries of the world.
