During the match between GT and MI, fans clashed with each other in Narendra Modi Stadium, there was a fierce fight.

The fifth match of IPL 2024 was played between Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.

There was tremendous excitement among the fans regarding this match between the two teams because there was a record trading of Hardik Pandya from Gujarat to Mumbai. Pandya, as the new captain, was facing his former franchise in the first match.

The scene of an incident during this match is going viral on social media, in which it is seen that the fans clashed with each other and had a fierce fight.

This video spread quickly, but the reason for the fight between the fans has not been revealed.

Fierce Clash Between Fans: Hardik’s Joke.

After leaving the Gujarat Titans, Hardik Pandya joined the Mumbai Indians. The fans present at Narendra Modi Stadium booed Hardik Pandya loudly.

English commentator Kevin Pietersen even said that he had seen the first incident of such booing of a cricketer in India.

Another reason for fans being disappointed with Hardik Pandya is his becoming the captain of Mumbai Indians in place of Rohit Sharma.

Mumbai Indians had announced before the season that Hardik Pandya would be the captain in place of Rohit Sharma. Mumbai Indians fans did not seem at all happy with this decision.

This was the reason why Hardik Pandya remained surrounded by criticism and was not even successful in performing. The Mumbai Indians team could not successfully chase the target of 169 runs.

Mumbai lost the Match.

Let us tell you that Gujarat Titans batted first and scored 168 runs losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the Mumbai Indians team could score 162 runs after losing 9 wickets in 20 overs.

With this, the Mumbai Indians team failed to break the 12-year-long streak of not winning their first match of the tournament.
