FIR registered against seven thousand people for violence and sabotage at the Wistron plant.
An FIR has been registered against seven thousand people for violence and sabotage at Wistron’s plant in the Kolar district of Karnataka.
These include five thousand contract workers. iPhones for Apple are manufactured in this plant of Taiwanese company Wistron.
According to the police, the company has said that it has incurred a loss of Rs 437.7 crore due to violence at the plant.
Property, office items, vehicles, and other items were damaged during the violence.
It is noteworthy that Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister CN Ashwat has criticized this violence.
Apple had said that it is sending its team and auditor to the plant to investigate the matter and is fully cooperating with the police.
Wistron stated in a regulatory filing in Taiwan that she always obeyed the law.
Meanwhile, an official from the Labor Department of Karnataka said that the issue has been resolved and the employees will be paid their dues. He said the plant would be opened soon.
Supreme Court orders Rs 2,000 per month for children’s education
The Supreme Court has asked all the states and union territories that the education of children living in child protection homes should not be affected due to the corona epidemic.
The court has ordered the states to provide books, stationery, and all necessary resources for the education of children.
Along with this, the court said that due to Corona, the children who have been sent back to the family from child protection homes and if the financial condition of those families is not good.
Then on the recommendation of the State Government District Child Protection Committee, those families should be educated about the child’s education.
Will pay 2,000 rupees per month. This amount will be spent only on the education of the child.
Appoint a teacher for 22 to 24 children
This order is Justice L. The bench headed by Nageswara Rao gave the hearing during the issue of welfare of children living in child protection homes.
The court also asked states to appoint a teacher for 22 to 24 children. Extra classes should also be conducted to complete missed studies.
Earlier in the case, the amicus curiae (amicus curiae) told the court that at the time when Corona started, 2,27,518 children were living in child protection homes. Of this, 1,45,788 children were sent back to families or patrons.
