A fire broke out in the train near the first outer signal of Bhelahi station on the Raxaul-Narkatiyaganj railway section on Sunday morning. The moving train started burning.

As soon as the passengers came to know about this, there was an outcry among them. The guard first noticed this fire. He informed the crew members about it.

The speed of the train was very low as the station was close. So the train was stopped immediately.

Due to this, panicked passengers came out of the bogies. After this, the control room was informed. On receiving information about the fire on the train, a crowd of villagers gathered there.

After this, the firefighters were informed about it. Efforts are on to control the fire now.

Train number 05541 departed from Raxaul for Narkatiaganj via Bhaya Sikta at 5.10 am on Sunday. When it reached the Gad river near bridge number 39 near Bhelahi station, it caught fire.

The incident happened around 5.30 am. On receiving the information, firefighters reached the spot. The work of extinguishing the fire is still going on.

It is taking time to get it under control due to the huge fire. A crowd of local people gathered information about the fire on the train.

To save the bogie from the engine fire, efforts are being made to separate the bogie from the engine with the help of local people, but due to wheel jams, the work is facing a lot of trouble.

Here in relation to the incident, it is being told that the first guard saw the fire in the engine. Then it was reported to the crew. Thereafter the driver immediately stopped the vehicle.

Passengers have started getting off the train and reaching a safe place. At present, the work of extinguishing the fire is going on with the help of firefighters.

What is the reason for the fire? No clear information has been found in this regard.
