First Three Nuclear Submarines Will Be 95 Percent Indigenous

First three nuclear submarines will be 95 percent indigenous, rapid expansion.

What would be a bigger expansion of making state-of-the-art submarines in India that 95 percent of the material used in the first three lethal submarines equipped with nuclear capability would be made in the country itself.

After this, the range of Indian equipment will increase even more in the next three nuclear submarines. The Cabinet Committee on Security is considering a proposal of Rs 50,000 crore.

Under this, the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) based in Visakhapatnam has to build three nuclear submarines.

The project is in stark contrast to the project to build six nuclear submarines with Arihant class ballistic missiles.

According to government sources, the project to build a nuclear-capable submarine is a huge addition to the concept of ‘Make in India’.

In both the private and government sectors, the Department of Home Defense is considered to be very effective.

The sources told that the scientists preparing to build six submarines told that they are confident that they will complete it on their own.

But if the need for outside help is felt, then GOI will take the help of any of India’s strategically partner countries.

This experiment is very important from the point of view of economy because it will also create jobs on a large scale in the defense sector.

At present, the Navy and DRDO have got permission to build not only six such submarines, but only three. The turn to build the remaining three submarines will come only after the first three submarines are successfully completed.

This budget will give a boost to ‘Self-reliant India campaign’

This budget will give a boost to ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ along with new innovations in the defense sector, as self-reliance and indigenization in the defense and aerospace sector of the country is the primary objective of I-DEX-DIO.

The objective is to promote innovation and technology development in defense and aerospace by involving industries including MSMEs, start-ups, individual innovators, R&D institutions, academia.
