First Worship Of Amarnath Yatra Will Be Held In The Holy Cave

First worship of Amarnath Yatra will be held in the holy cave today on Jyeshtha Purnima, Aarti will be broadcast live from June 28.

The first worship of Shri Baba Amarnath Yatra will be held on Jyeshtha Purnima on Thursday at the holy cave site.

Although this year Baba Amarnath Yatra has been canceled in view of the situation arising out of Corona, there will be traditional worship.

Also, there will be a live telecast of Aarti from the holy cave of Baba Barfani.

Senior officers of the board and administration, including Chief Executive Officer of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, Nitishwar Kumar, will participate in the first puja.

Sudarshan Khajuria, General Secretary of Shri Amarnath Yatra and Budda Amarnath Yatra Trust, Senior VP Karan Singh, and DP Shakti Sharma have reached Srinagar and will reach the holy cave on Thursday.

The Board invites the office bearers of the Trust every year to participate in the Pratham Puja.

At the same time, the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board and the administration have made preparations to broadcast the aarti live from the holy cave.

Senior officials of the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board and administration will visit the holy cave site on Thursday and take stock of the preparations besides participating in the first puja.

The Lieutenant Governor and other officials will offer prayers at the holy cave on the scheduled date of commencement of the Yatra on June 28.

Aarti will be telecast live from 28 June to 22 August. The aarti will be broadcast on the official website of the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board.

Aarti will be telecast from 6 am to 6.30 pm and in the evening from 5 pm to 5.30 pm. Let us inform you that due to Corona, Baba Amarnath Yatra has been canceled for the second consecutive year.

However, the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board had earlier announced the start of the Yatra and fixed the 56-day Yatra starting from June 28 and ending on August 22.

Advance registration was also started from April 1, but after the increase in corona cases, the registration was stopped midway.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha canceled the yatra after holding discussions with the board members. The Lieutenant Governor said that the decision has been taken keeping in view the public interest.
