Five terrorists killed in Pakistan’s Quetta, security forces took action. Security forces on Monday killed five suspected terrorists near Pakistan’s southwestern city of Quetta.
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Pakistan gave information about the killing of five terrorists on Tuesday.
The department said today that security forces took action and killed five terrorists in Quetta of Balochistan province.
Terrorists attacked law enforcement agencies and CTD forces during security operations on the outskirts of Quetta.
The encounter took place in order to raid terrorists.
In a statement issued by the department, it was told that the encounter started during the raid on the hideout of the terrorists.
The CTD claimed that a huge cache of weapons had been seized from the slain terrorists.
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan had said on Monday that he was considering talks with the insurgents in Balochistan.
He blamed the previous administration for the lack of development in the country’s largest province. Violence cases are increasing in Balochistan.
Recently, there was an explosion on the Quetta Airport Road in which 6 people were injured.
Last month, terrorists attacked a security post in Balochistan, and shortly after that, an IED-laden military vehicle was also attacked.
Four Pakistani soldiers were killed in both these terrorist attacks. Earlier in May also, terrorists targeted the army.
Quetta has been facing terror attacks.
Terrorists have been carrying out attacks in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan. Rich in minerals and gas, this province is adjacent to the border of Iran and Afghanistan.
The people here are also suffering from an insurgency by small separatist groups demanding the independence of the province. There is also a presence of the Pakistani Taliban here.

Three Pakistani soldiers were killed and another injured in a terrorist attack on a check post in North Waziristan’s tribal district.
Pakistani media Dawn quoted officials as saying that the terrorists attacked the Beja check post in the Hassan Khel area, adjacent to the Afghan border.
Three soldiers were killed in the attack and another soldier was injured, who has been admitted to a hospital in the Dwatoi area, he said.
Officials said that the terrorists used heavy weapons in the attack.
Attacks on security forces in North Waziristan and adjoining South Waziristan tribal districts have increased since the Taliban intensified attacks against govt forces in Afghanistan across the border.
