Former Chief Minister and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti Detained. Former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti placed under house arrest in her house, convened at 3 pm.
Mehbooba Mufti, the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and the head of the Peoples Democratic Party, has been placed under house arrest once again at her house in Srinagar.
Mehbooba herself informed this through her Twitter handle. She wrote that she had been detained “illegally” again.
“For two days she has sought permission from the Jammu and Kashmir administration to meet Wahid Para’s family but she was refused.
She informed reporters on Twitter that she is holding a press conference at her house at 3 pm today. In this, she will inform journalists about various issues. She invited all journalists for this talk.
When Mehbooba was leaving her house to go somewhere on Friday, the soldiers posted under her protection did not allow her to go out.
When asked, when no response was received, she asked the police officers in this regard. Did not get any reply from anyone.
Outraged at this, Mehbooba Mufti, on her Twitter handle, protested against the administration’s action.
She said that Union ministers of BJP, their supporting leaders, and their puppets are allowed to roam in every corner of Kashmir, but security concern is only in my case.
With this, the PDP leader has also shared letters written to the police and SSG on Friday morning to visit the family of Wahid Para.
She said that during the last two days she has written several times to meet the family of District Pulwama Wahid but she is not being allowed to go by citing security.
Their cruelty knows no bounds. Waheed was arrested on baseless charges and I am not even allowed to console his family. Even my daughter Iltija has been kept under house arrest as she too wanted to meet Waheed’s family.
