Four Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists sentenced to 10 to 12 years in jail: Terror funding case.

Special Court of Patiala House has sentenced four terrorists of the Terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen to rigorous imprisonment for carrying out terror activities in India through terror funding.

Among them, Muhammad Saifi Shah and Muzaffar Ahmed Dar were sentenced to 12 years imprisonment and Talib Lali and Mushtaq Ahmed Lone were sentenced to 10 years imprisonment.

The convicts had accepted all the charges against them on September 27. The court of Special Judge Parveen Singh had convicted the four on October 4.

The National Security Agency (NIA) had alleged that Hizbul Mujahideen was regularly receiving funds from neighboring countries to carry out terror activities in India.

Hizbul is actively involved in the guise of Jammu Kashmir Affected Relief Trust (JKART) and is carrying forward terrorist activities.

The four convicts were convicted for the offenses of raising funds for a terrorist act, conspiracy, being a member of a terrorist gang or organization.

Apart from this, all were also convicted under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) as well as the Indian Penal Code for waging war, attempt to wage war, and abetment to waging war against the Government of India.

Among the convicts, Saifi Shah and Talib Lali are residents of the Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir, while Dar Budgam and Ahmed Lone are residents of the Anantnag district.

Assam seeks six weeks’ time to prepare detention center, foreign nationals who have come infiltrating will be kept.

The order of the Gauhati High Court regarding the completion of the detention center in Assam and keeping foreigners in it has not been followed.

The government has sought six weeks to complete the construction work of the detention center. In this context, the detention center will be ready in November.

This detention center is also being called a transit camp and foreign nationals who have infiltrated into Assam will be kept in it. Most of these foreign nationals are from Bangladesh.

An official of the Assam Home Department said on Monday that the construction work of the detention center in the Matia area of ​​the Goalpara district of the state is almost complete.

The center is being built on 25 acres of land at a cost of Rs 64 crore.

There will be three thousand declared foreigners in it. There will also be a separate school and hospital for the children.

Apart from this, there will be many facilities for the people detained in the center. The state government has sought more time from the High Court to finalize some construction works and for some formalities.

On August 11, the High Court had asked the state government to prepare the detention center in 45 days.

Justice Kalyan Rai Surana gave this direction while hearing a petition related to the construction of the detention center.
