In the 200-part Rajasthan assembly, the Congress has 107 MLAs and the BJP 72. The Congress likewise considers Bhartiya rural party (2) and CPI(M) (2) MLAs as their supporters.

Aside from its 72 MLAs, BJP’s partner Rashtriya Loktantrik party RLP) has three MLAs. Pilot on Sunday asserted that the Gehlot government is in minority as more than 30 Congress MLAs have “swore support” to him.

“Rajasthan deputy CM and Congress leader Sachin Pilot not to go to Congress legislative party meeting planned to be held tomorrow. The pilot says Ashok Gehlot government is in minority after more than 30 Congress and some autonomous MLAs have sworn backing to Sachin Pilot,” said an announcement circled through a WhatsApp bunch worked by Pilot’s office.

Pilot’s insubordination and developing political emergency were talked about at a late-evening meeting at the chief minister’s home where Pande and Randeep Surjewala were available. The party MLAs and autonomous lawmakers also arrived at the CM’s official residence and communicated trust in Gehlot’s government, the Congress said.
