Gold Rate Today: Gold futures at new record highs, silver also rises; Know what is going on. Investments in gold considered safe assets have increased due to uncertainties related to coronavirus, slowing recovery in the global economy, and the depreciation of the rupee against the dollar.

Earlier, the gold price in futures trading reached its all-time high of Rs 55,431 per 10 grams. In the previous session, the closing price of gold was at Rs 55,098 per 10 grams. On Thursday, gold opened higher in the initial session at Rs 55,265 per 10-gram level.

On the other hand, silver prices are also increasing in the future market due to increasing demand. On September 4, 2020, silver for delivery was up by Rs 1,180, or 1.64 percent, to Rs 73,073 per kg. In the previous session, silver was at Rs 71,893 per kg. Silver opened at Rs 72,560 per kg on Thursday morning.

According to the leading news agency, the spot price of gold rose 0.1 percent to $ 2,042.14 an ounce in the international market. Earlier on Wednesday, gold touched an all-time high of $ 2,055.10 an ounce. The softening of the US dollar and the weakening of the signs of recovery due to the Corona global epidemic led to a rise in yellow metal prices. Gold futures in the US gained 0.4 percent to $ 2,056.60 an ounce.

The stock market opened higher on the fourth trading day of the week. At 9:19 am, the Bombay Stock Exchange index Sensex was up by 190.58 points at 37,853.91 and the National Stock Exchange index Nifty was trading at 11,152.70, rising by 51.05 points. Out of 50 stocks of Nifty, 44 stocks were trading in green marks and 6 stocks in red mark.

Indian stock markets closed with a fall on Wednesday. The Bombay Stock Exchange Sensitive Index Sensex lost 0.07 percent, or 24.58 points, to close at 37,663.33. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) index Nifty also closed lower on Wednesday.
