Chhattisgarh: Force looking for an anti-drone system to deal with drones of Naxalites

Drones being used by Naxalites in the entire Dandakaranya area including Bastar in Chhattisgarh have become a new challenge for the force.

The police are now looking for an anti-drone system to deal with their drones. For this, talks are going on with many companies of the country and the world.

By installing an anti-drone system, the force can mess up the wavelength and frequency of the Naxalites’ drones.

They can jam and even drop them by electronic means. Such anti-drone devices have come into the market in recent times.

The police are finding out how useful these are and which company’s electronic device would be appropriate to install.

Soon the anti-drone system will be installed in the highly Naxal affected camps of Bastar. Indeed, unmanned aircraft or drones are of great importance in modern warfare.

Naxalites are unable to get around the camps of the force, but use drones to get information about what activities are going on within the camp, how many people and how many weapons are there, etc.

This information has been available for the last two years. Drones were sighted over Parodi and Kistaram camps in the Sukma district last year.

However, by the time the jawans took action, the drones had disappeared.
