Government Committed To Return Of Displaced Kashmiri Pandits

Government committed to return of displaced Kashmiri Hindus: Sinha on Independence Day 2021.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday once again reiterated the government’s commitment towards the dignified return and rehabilitation of displaced Kashmiri Hindus.

Addressing the public on the occasion of Independence Day celebrations at Shere Kashmir Cricket Stadium in Srinagar.

He said that we are taking all necessary steps to rehabilitate people who are suffering from displacement from their homes due to terrorism.

He said that under the Prime Minister’s Development Program, work is being done at a fast pace to prepare transit accommodation for the displaced Kashmiri Hindu government employees.

The government committed to the return of displaced Kashmiri Hindus.

We are moving towards completing 6000 transit accommodations and 6000 jobs for Kashmiri displaced government employees under PMDP.

The construction of 849 transit accommodations has been completed. Work on 1376 houses is being done at a brisk pace and the transfer of 278 kanals of land has been approved for 2744 additional flats.

Lt Governor Sinha also said that out of the remaining 3,000 jobs out of 6,000, 841 posts were filled under the employment package announced by the Prime Minister.

On the eve of Independence Day, we have released the result of 997 posts. I congratulate all the successful candidates.

The result of another 1000 posts will be notified within a month after completing the verification process.

There was an atmosphere of enthusiasm and joy everywhere. Due to this event, the face of the Kashmiri people was also clearly visible.

The beginning of a new era of peace, security, prosperity, and development in Jammu and Kashmir: Lieutenant Governor.

Like other parts of the country, Independence Day was celebrated with full fervor and gaiety in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. The tricolor was flying all around.

There was no strike or bandh anywhere, the phone did not ring as before. Internet services were also restored. All this is indicative of the changing situation in Kashmir.

This is the reason that today while hoisting the national flag and taking the salute of the parade at the Shere Kashmir Cricket Stadium on the banks of Jhelum.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that the Jungle Raj has ended in Jammu and Kashmir.

A new era of peace, security, prosperity, and development has begun. Here Vajpayee’s principle of Jamhooriyat was not allowed to flourish on the ground.
