Government gears up to deal with terrorist violence in Kashmir, senior officers of NIA, IB and RAW camped.

Two dozen senior officers of NIA, IB, and RAW, including the Director-General of CRPF, have camped in Kashmir. These officers are busy unraveling the entire conspiracy behind the recent terrorist incidents.

Apart from this, these officers will also make a strategy to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future and to completely curb the recruitment of terrorists.

This strategy will be reviewed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah at a high-level security meeting in Srinagar on 23 October.

At the same time, Army Chief MM Naravane is also on a visit to Jammu today.

The Army Chief will review the security situation and hold talks with soldiers and commanders amidst escalating counter-insurgency operations in the Poonch-Rajouri sector.

The Army Chief will be briefed by senior military officials about the security grid along the Line of Control and counter-insurgency operations in the hinterland.

Terrorists shot dead two non-Kashmiri laborers and injured another in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday. This is the third attack on non-local laborers in less than 24 hours.

According to official sources, both the cases of civilian killings will be probed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

A street vendor from Bihar and a carpenter from Uttar Pradesh were shot dead by terrorists on Saturday evening.

After the serial attacks on non-local workers in Kashmir, panic has spread and many workers from other states of the country including UP, Bihar have started returning from the valley.

On the other hand, amidst the increased activities of terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has reviewed the security situation in the country on Monday.

According to sources, expressing concern over the latest incidents in Jammu and Kashmir, Amit Shah said that terrorists in desperation are targeting innocent people to spread panic among the people.

But at the same time, it was also made clear that the masters of the terrorists sitting across the border would not be able to succeed in their plans.

Expressing confidence in the security forces, he said that they will always have to be ready to deal with new challenges.

The administration has tightened security in Kashmir after terrorists targeted innocent people. Women CRPF personnel have also been deployed in all major cities including Srinagar to avoid any lapse.

This is the first time in the last 30 years that women security personnel are checking women at a public place in Kashmir.
