Government Should Shift Farmers Protesting On Delhi Boder

Government should shift farmers protesting on the Delhi border-Small businessmen and industrialists said.

Small and medium industries have been badly affected in the National Capital Region due to farmers sitting on dharna at Kundli Border in Sonepat and Tikri Border in Bahadurgarh for three months against agricultural laws.

The National Mass Industry Trade Organization (RJUVS) has raised the demand to shift these protesters to another place.

With the closure of the Kundali border, about 1700 industries and 700 industries in Bahadurgarh, neither they are getting raw material nor finished goods are going out.

The issue came up in the two-day session of the organization that started on Saturday in Chandigarh.

Small and micro-entrepreneurs and retail traders from Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat are participating in the session.

In the session, allegations of ruining small traders and MSMEs were made under the guise of promoting e-commerce companies and the online market.

Ashok Buwaniwala, acting president of Rashtriya Jan Udyog Sangathan, said that although he is with the people agitating against reforms in agricultural laws, the government should shift them from the border to Jantar Mantar or other places in Delhi.

Due to this, industrial activities can be started in the affected area. Seeking to make electricity rates cheaper, he said that the business of e-commerce companies is increasing by 27 percent every year.

This will completely destroy the small shopkeeper, retailer, and micro-entrepreneur. Government to promote MSMEs.

National President of the organization Amit Gupta said that there are six and a half crore MSME units in the country, through which 11 crore people have got employment.

In spite of 30 percent contribution to GDP, 95 percent contribution to GDP, and 40 percent contribution to exports by small entrepreneurs and retail traders, MSMEs only get a 16 percent share in banking loans.

Santosh Mangal, the national advisor of the organization, announced the need to lock the offices of renowned e-commerce companies and said that awareness campaigns against the e-commerce market will be conducted through social media and other platforms.

Haryana President of RJUVS Gulshan Dung and General Secretary Pawan Aggarwal raised many issues related to MSME.
