Serena Williams said on Sunday that she would not participate in the Tokyo Olympics, but gave no reason. Serena said, ‘I’m not really on the Olympic list.

The 39-year-old has won four Olympic Games gold medals for the US, including gold in both singles and doubles at the 2012 London Olympics.

She has won gold in doubles at Sydney in 2000 and Beijing Olympics in 2008. She has won all the golds in doubles with older sister Venus Williams.

At the Rio Olympics (2016), Serena lost in the third round in singles, while in doubles she was knocked out in the first round along with her sister and partner Venus.

Roger Federer said on Saturday that he has not yet decided whether he will participate in the Tokyo Games.
