Gujarat: 20 people died in Bharuch hospital fire; PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah expressed grief over the incident.

A horrific fire broke out on Friday night in the Corona Care ward, built at Patel Welfare Hospital in Bharuch city of Gujarat. Seeing – the flames reached the ICU ward of the hospital.

In view of the fierce fire, rescue work was started in a hurry. Many hospital patients came under fire. Several fire brigade vehicles arrived at the information and tried to control the fire.

There are reports of the death of 20 people in it. This includes patients and staff. The state government announced assistance of Rs 4 lakh to the families of each of the victims.

According to the information, the incident took place at around 12.30 on Friday night at Patel Welfare Hospital in Bharuch city.

A sudden fire broke out in the Covid ward of Patel Welfare Hospital in Bharuch. It is believed that the fire was caused by a short circuit. It has been reported that the ICU ward was at the place where the fire broke out.

The fire spread rapidly. Due to this, the patients got very little time to get out. By the time the patients were taken out, during this time many patients were engulfed in flames.

At the same time, the fire brigade reached the spot on the information of fire in the Covid Care Center. All the police officers also reached the spot.

The work of rescuing people trapped in the hospital has started.

Giving information about this, the Trustee of Covid Care Center in Bharuch, Zuber Patel told us that this is an unfortunate incident not only for us but for the whole of Bharuch.

With the help of police and people, we are transferring patients to other hospitals. Patients and staff nurses have died in the incident.

PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah expressed grief

PM Narendra Modi tweeted that he was hurt by the loss of life and property due to a fire in a hospital in Bharuch. Condolences to the bereaved families.

Home Minister Amit Shah said that I am deeply saddened by the fire accident in a hospital in Bharuch, Gujarat.

I express my deepest condolences to the families of all those who lost their lives in this accident and pray for the injured to get well soon.

The state government will provide assistance of Rs 4 lakh to the next of kin

Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani said, “I convey my condolences to the patients, doctors, and staff of the hospital, who lost their lives in the fire accident at Bharuch Hospital.”

The state government will provide assistance of Rs 4 lakh to the families of each of the victims of the accident.
