Haryana Farmer Protests: Villagers angry with farmer protestors, gave an ultimatum to evacuate the highway in 24 hours.

Representatives of nearby villages have given a 24-hour ultimatum for the evacuation from the agitating farmers who are staging near the Sahabi bridge on the Delhi-Jaipur highway.

On the other hand, the Haryana Petroleum Dealers Association on the Shahjahanpur Kheda border on the highway has lodged a protest against the incident on the Red Fort by burning an effigy of Jai Kisan movement convenor Yogendra Yadav.

3 suggestions have also been given to the farmers who are protesting from the administration. There has been no response from the agitating farmers.

Haryana Farmer Protests: The ultimatum was given after meeting

On Wednesday, villagers from nearby villages met at village Dungarwas under the chairmanship of Captain Lala Ram, the sarpanch of Masani.

Villagers of the village Dungarwas, Masani, Jonavas, Titarpur, Niganiwas, Kharkada, Rasgan, Jeetpura, and Nikhari, etc. were present in the meeting.

Villagers said that the Delhi-Jaipur highway has been taken hostage by the agitators for a month, due to which the surrounding villagers are facing a lot of trouble.

Highway traffic is passing through the village and link roads and water pipelines of the villages have been broken. Electric poles have broken due to the collision of vehicles.

He said that the tricolor has been insulted on the Red Fort under the guise of the farmers’ agitation on Tuesday, which will not be destroyed under any circumstances.

In the meeting, the committee constituted by the villagers also met the leaders of agitating farmers led by Sarpanch Lalaram and gave an ultimatum to vacate the highway in 24 hours.

A situation of tension was once caused by the Grammarians arriving on the highway. A heavy police force was deployed during the talks.

The villagers said that if the highway is not evacuated in 24 hours, then the panchayat will prepare the next strategy.

On the other hand, the meeting of the Haryana Petroleum Dealers Association was also held on the Shahjahanpur-Kheda border. The association also met Yogendra Yadav, convener of Jai Kisan Andolan, and urged to open the highway.

On not getting a positive response, the Petroleum Association and Transporters Association burnt the effigy of Yogendra Yadav and sat on a dharna on the Shahjahanpur-Kheda border.

The Petroleum Association has given a 24-hour ultimatum to open the highway. On Wednesday, if the highway is not open, it is warned to start a dharna in front of the oil terminal depot at Karnavas.

Karnavas has Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum, and Reliance Oil Depots. Rewari supplies oil to petrol pumps in 9 districts of the state.

Administration gave suggestions

Three suggestions have also been made by the administration to the agitating farmers sitting on the Masani barrage.

DSP Amit Bhatia has suggested farmers go to the Tekri or Indus Border via NH-352, sit on the picket at the former site near NH-352 and NH-48 and go back on the Shahjahapur Kheda border. There is no response from the agitating farmers yet.
