Heavy Rains and Thunderstorms Predicted in Bengaluru: Bengaluru faces severe waterlogging as heavy rains continue. IMD forecasts thunderstorms with temperatures ranging between 21°C and 29°C. Where will it rain; read everything. India’s IT capital Bengaluru witnessed major waterlogging due to heavy rains. In such a situation, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted more storms today i.e. on October 22 and the minimum temperature will be around 21 degrees Celsius. The IMD predicts that Bengaluru will continue to see cloud cover today, with both urban and rural areas seeing mild to moderate rain and thundershowers. The maximum temperature in the city is expected to be 29 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature is expected to be 21 degrees Celsius.

Traffic banned due to waterlogging

Police said that traffic was also reported to be moving slowly on Sarjapura Road at Wipro Junction and RBD Layout Junction due to waterlogging. Opposition parties have made fun of the state’s Congress-led government in response to the city’s predicament.

Earlier on Monday, several flights were delayed at Kempegowda International Airport due to the weather. An official said that more than 20 flights were delayed and four flights were diverted to Chennai. Officials said that a Thai Lion Air flight coming from Thailand was also diverted to Chennai.

Heavy Rains and Thunderstorms Predicted in Bengaluru: More than 20 flights were delayed at the airport

Giving information about the incident, the official said, “Due to heavy rains on Monday night (October 21), more than 20 flights were delayed at Kempegowda International Airport. 4 flights were diverted to Chennai. There was one Air India flight from Delhi and 3 Indigo flights from Delhi, Hyderabad, and Chandigarh. In such a situation, the Bengaluru airport official said, “Thai Lion Air coming from Thailand was also diverted to Chennai.”

Due to continuous rains, the District Collector on Monday issued an order declaring a holiday in Anganwadis and schools in Bengaluru city. According to the collector, this choice was made in the student’s best interests and as a precaution. However, all other degree courses, postgraduate programs, diplomas, engineering, and ITI will remain open.
