Actually, the flood-like situation has arisen due to heavy rains in the state. In such a situation, rivers are also in their ebb. Meanwhile, some police officers helped a pregnant woman and rushed her to the hospital.

Transport interrupted by heavy rain

The name of this tribal woman is Eladi Swapna, who hails from Sirsa, a remote village in Kotapalli Mandal in Mancherial district. She was pregnant and needed to go to the hospital in Chennur, but the Tutumagga stream was flowing near the village, disrupting all transport.

Police officers are being appreciated

According to the Telangana police, Circle Inspector Nagaraju and Sub Inspector Ravi of Kottapalli police station came to know about Swapna’s plight, after which they took her on a tractor towards the hospital.

They crossed the Tumumutaga Dhara, Edullabandham, and Linganpeta villages and took the pregnant woman to the Chennai Government Hospital. The locals appreciated the service of the police who saved the woman, risking her life.

A similar incident has happened before this

Please tell that this is not the first incident when a pregnant woman has been rushed to the hospital after the situation created due to rain. Earlier, Telangana family members carried a woman on her shoulders to a hospital in Bhadradri Kothagudem, Telangana in the eighth month of pregnancy.

The reason for carrying on the shoulders is due to heavy rains causing rivers and lakes to overflow. It was reported that the bridge was washed away due to excess rain.
