On the other hand, BJP MLA Ved Vyas Kamat is trying to resolve the matter by holding a meeting with the college development and management committee members and students after the protests at the University College in Mangaluru.

Udupi, Uttara Kannada, and Dakshina Kannada come in the coastal areas of Karnataka. All these areas are under the influence of communal tension.

Meanwhile, the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) said that they will not allow Hindu activists to take even a handful of soil from the Malali Masjid.

Abdul Majeed of SDPI said, ‘Don’t even dream about capturing the mosque.

Uniforms are only allowed.

On the Hijab issue in Dakshina Kannada district, Karnataka Education Minister BC Nagesh said that only uniforms are allowed in schools and colleges in the state.

He further said that the order of the Karnataka High Court will have to be followed.

The education minister’s statement against wearing a hijab came after a sit-in protest at Mangaluru University College on Thursday.

Students expressed their anger at the authorities on Saturday. The Education Minister also said that the printing of textbooks has already been done.

He also said that the syllabus includes nationality and history. He accused the opposition Congress of creating misunderstanding among the students.
