The education minister’s statement against wearing a hijab came after a sit-in protest at Mangaluru University College on Thursday.

Students expressed their anger at the authorities on Saturday. The Education Minister also said that the printing of textbooks has already been done.

He also said that the syllabus includes nationality and history. He accused the opposition Congress of creating misunderstanding among the students.
